Dear sister,
There are times when I like you and there are times when you are a pain in the buttocks, but I know that you know that there will never be times when I don't love you. When we were little, we got along great. Then when we started getting older you became my annoying little sister. But now as we start maturing, we are starting to like each other again. You are such a silly girl and can always make me laugh. You are soo pretty too. And I am jealous of your hair. And maybe your butt too. I love hanging out with you and listening to music and going random places in my carrr. You are freaking awesome and I could not ask for a better sister. You are my baby sister whom I love very much.

Zachary's first college game

This weekend I got to go see my wonderful boyfriend that I have not seen in 3 weeks. Yesterday was his first baseball game as an OWU Eagle. I went up there with his family. We got to watch his game and even though he didn't really play, it was still really fun. The game lasted 15 innings and OWU ended up winning after a rough start. Afterwards we all went to eat and I got to see him and talk to him and that was really good. It was a short little visit but I am so glad that i got to see him. I missed that boy alot. He seems really happy there. He has a lot of friends and they are all really nice. I think that this season is going to be the best baseball season he has ever had. I know that it is going to be hard to see him because all of the games that he will have. Hes gonna be a very busy boy, but I am so proud of him for chasing his dreams. It was really really good to see him and I am glad that I got to go.

Dear best parents in the whole world,
You guys are awesome and have always been there for me whenever I need you.
Daddy-thank you for working so hard to take care of us. I am so lucky to have a father that is such a great provider for his family. Thank you for setting such a good example for me to be a follower of Christ. You are the most Godly man i know and some day I hope to marry a man that is as big of a Christian as you. I remember when I was little you would always come in my room at night and pray with me. As i got older, you always fought for me when mom was being a little to stubborn. I loved that you always stuck up for me. You are the best dad everr
Momma-You are the most amazing mom in the world. I love shopping with you and having girls day. Even though we don't have that much in common, we get along really well. We had our difficulties when I was in high school, but now I somewhat understand where you were coming from. Thank you for loving me and being so supportive of me throughout everything that I do. You have always had my back and I appreciate that. You are such a beautiful person inside and out. Thank you for going back to work so that I could go to the college that I really wanted to go. You mean so much to me.

The definition of crush is a temporary infatuation. So since my boyfriend is not exactly a temporary infatuation, I will have to choose someone else who is.

You are a football player. You played for my favorite college team. I met you one time. You talked at my cousin's church. I got my picture taken with you and you signed my hat. I also sat in the front row at the Texas Baylor game. You were like standing in front of me the whole time. after the game you came by and touched my hand. I almost fainted. You are very cute. My favorite thing about you is that you are a strong Christian and love God. Me and my BFF Randi are kinda obsessed with you. So obsessed that we might have made a song about you one time. So obsessed that when you got hurt in the A&M game we just happened to be in the hospital that you were taken too and walked around looking for you. My crush has kinda ended a little bit when you got married over the summer. But don't worry, I still love you. Come back to college and play for UT. We need you back Colt McCoy.

I have a few best friends but I am going to go with the one that I have known the longest.

I have known you since you were born. I am six months older than you. But you like to pretend that you are older than me. I loved growing up with you and playing with your huge box of Barbies, watching Susie-Q multiple times, sleeping in the couch bed, tormenting Raelyn, having slumber parties, and dreaming about all the things we would do when we were older. I remember when you got your first cell phone. We thought it was so cool because now we could text and keep in touch with each other all the time. And we still dooo. I love the summertime because that means that we get to see each other alot and we always do fun stuff when we are together. Like that time we found Smokey the cat. Or that time that we painted our hands in the street. Remember that time when we went camping in Arkansas and then we stayed at that hotel and went around stealing the condiments. Or that time that we ate cheese in the bed. Hahaha so many good times.You are my partner in crime and my best friend forever. I know that you will always be there for me. and so the school routine begins.

I am two weeks into my second semester of college and it is going great. I love all of my classes and all my teachers are awesome. I am so glad that this semester is not as stressful as last (or not yet anyways). I have a lot more time on my hands now. I actually get kind of bored. I am thinking about getting a job, so if you know any places hiring let me knoww!
Last night was the first meeting for my sorority. I am in a sorority called Eta Iota Sigma or HIS or He Is Sufficient. It is a Christian sorority and it is awesome. There are so many girls in it and I love them all. It was nice going back and being with all my sisters worshipping God and just being all together again. This semester I hope to get to know a lot more of the girls and build better relationships with them. I also saw my lovely big, who always puts a smile on my face :)
Today my awesome roomie got us a couch for our room! Soo stinkin excited. It's like bright orange and it can fold out into a bed thing. It was sort of an adventure to put together. So we called in a boy to help our not-so-architectural-minds out a little bit. It will be so nice having somewhere to chill and watch tv. Look how cute it is:

New semester, new classes, new room, new opportunities.

The wonderful winter break has come to an end, and now I am back at TCU ready for my second semester of college. Classes started today and I feel like I am going to really like all of my classes. All my professors seem super nice, so I am really happy about that. I'm excited to be back at school, but am kinda missing home already. This tiny room makes me claustrophobic and I miss my sweet little puppy. It has been really good seeing all my friends and hearing all the exciting things that they did over the break. Today it was FREEZING outside which made walking to class no fun at alll. But my feet stayed nice and warm in my new Uggs that I got for Christmas :)
Our little dorm has much more room for activities now that we did some rearranging. We turned our beds into bunk beds and my new tv fits perfectly in the room. At first I hated the way our room looked, but now I think that it will work out alot better this way. Plus it is a new semester, so the new room goes perfectly with that idea.
I am excited to see what this semester will bring and seeing what God has in store for me! Hopefully this semester will be better than the last. Trying to have a positive attitude, and an open mind. I'll let you know how that goess..

Short Summary.

I don't exactly know where to start in this whole blogging process, butI feel like I should introduce myself. My name is Kayla Paige and I am a freshman at TCU. I decided to start a blog because I feel like it would be a good way to get my feelings out and maybe some of the stuff I am going through will be able to help other people too. I do not plan on holding anything back in this blog. What I think, is what I will type. I have very strong opinions, so please do not feel offended in any way. Let me start by telling you a little bit about myself. Like I sad, I am a freshman at TCU and just finished my first semester. College is really really hard, but is also alot of fun. I was real stressed out about being away from home, my family, close friends, my precious puppy, and of course my sweet boyfriend Zachary. All that put together on top of having to go to school and do a bunch of work did not make up for a great first semester of college. Buttt, I got through it in one piece with the help of my family and boyfriend. So this next semester i am hoping will be a lot easier. I think that god was really trying to teach me something last semester and that was to trust in him. I do not know the plans that he has for my life, and I need to rely on him to get me where it is that he wasnts me to be. I only have three more days left of break before I have to go back to school. So my plan is to relax and hang out with the people I love until then. Hopefully when school starts back up I will have more interesting, sad, or funny things to talk about. Stay tuned.
